ReSurf and The Mural Alliance Project

“The ReSurf Process,” is an 8-step process that serves the community and its participants for generations to come through mentorship and surfing. Step five of “The ReSurf Process” involves “doing ding repair, surfboard art, and design.” Incorporating surfboard art in the process inspires creativity in the children and also gives them confidence when riding their new equipment. Many of the donated surfboards are old and discolored, but a few spray cans and a creative mind can make them appear brand new. The Mural Alliance Project, of the San Diego Cultural Arts Alliance, was kind enough to send down two extremely talented artists to the recent ReSurf project in Rosarito Beach, Mexico. Saratoga Sake and Jose Venegas came down to the event and helped the ReSurf crew bring these boards to life.

SUPERbrand and ReSurf

SUPERbrand & ReSurf

Submitted by ReSurfer, Mike Donohue

The ReSurf team recently returned from a project that took place at Rosarito Beach, Baja California, Mexico.  Part of ReSurf’s initiative involved teaching the children of The Boys and Girls Club the fundamentals of how to surf. The team also supplied the club with donated surfboards and gave the kids an opportunity to enhance their skills for many years to come.  SUPERbrand Surfboards and Apparel was generous enough to come down and put some high-quality foam under the kid’s feet and for that we thank them!

ReSurf Rosarito

STOKED IN BAJA – submitted by ReSurfer, Shane Roeschlein

On June 22, 2015, ReSurf debuted our west coast chapter in picturesque Rosarito, Baja, Mexico at The Club de Niños y Niñas de Rosarito (Boys and Girls Club, Rosarito Chapter). Run by Rosy Torres, a spirited and generous leader in the local community, the Boys and Girls Club is a natural partner for ReSurf.
